Study Groups

A regular house-group meets throughout the year, at 2.00 pm on alternate Mondays, for Bible Study, discussion, reflection and prayer. If this all sounds a bit solemn, don’t be misled: laughter is an essential ingredient and the tea and biscuits are superb.

Having completed a reading of St Luke's Gospel in 2009, followed by a selection of the Epistles, we worked our way through the very different Gospel of St John and are now reading the Acts of the Apostles. We have nine regular members but are always happy to welcome a newcomer - whether to take part regularly or just to test the water. Courses of study and discussion are regularly arranged during Lent, often in conjunction with our neighbours in the other Abbeydale churches, and other short courses are arranged from time to time. Everyone, whether a church member or not, is welcome to take part.
