Mothers' Union

The Holy Trinity branch of Mothers’ Union was re-formed eight years ago and continues to flourish, with a good spread of ages, an average attendance of two dozen at its meetings and - at the last count - 37 enrolled members. On the first Wednesday of each month members come together at 10.00 am, with others, for a service of Holy Communion in the Lady Chapel, followed by coffee - an opportunity for both worship and fellowship. Our regular evening meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month, when members enjoy a varied programme of speakers: recent topics have included a talk by a member of the Synagogue on Jewish traditions of birth, marriage and death, which was followed up a few weeks later by a visit to the Synagogue, and a talk on the world of W.O.R.K (Worthwhile Occupational & Recreational Krafts Ltd), a local charity.  After our AGM and a Quiz in October we shall round off the year with a Christmas Miscellany and a Christmas meal.  All our meetings are open, and non-members and potential members are always welcome to attend.  The Branch is currently run by a committee: for more information contact the Chairman (236 4382) or Secretary (255 0977).
