Baptism

We are always pleased to welcome enquiries about Baptism - both of infants and of older children and adults. Baptism (or “christening” as it is often known) is the sacrament through which we become members of the Christian church. We therefore try whenever possible to remind ourselves of this by conducting baptisms in the course of our normal 10.00 am Sunday worship, when the newly baptised member can be welcomed by the congregation, but alternative arrangements can sometimes be made in response to particular needs.

Please address enquiries about baptism arrangements, or questions about the nature and purpose of baptism, to the Vicar

Each year, cards are taken out to all children baptised at Holy Trinity, and they receive them for four years on the anniversary of their baptism. We believe this is a way in which we can keep in touch with the family and demonstrate that we regard baptism as a very important occasion in one’s life.
